Classic WyldeWoode Hammered Dulcimer Hammer - Padauk with Holly grip
Padauk with Holly grip
Length: 8 3/8 inches; Weight: 9.8 grams
Padauk (pah-DUKE) is a West African hardwood sometimes called Vermillion for the red-orange color of the heartwood when freshly cut. A hint of this color can still be seen in the body of this beautiful pair of hammers, which is set off nicely by the near-white Holly grips. Keeping them out of the sunlight will prolong the color of the Padauk, but all exotic hardwoods darken slightly with age.
