Classic WyldeWoode Hammered Dulcimer Hammer - Maple with Lacewood grip
Maple with Lacewood grip
Length: 8 3/8 inches; Weight: 9 grams
Unlike most woods, Lacewood is a common name used for lumber made from a number of different trees, all of which have a unique lace-like grain structure. The open grain makes unfinished Lacewood extremely prone to slivering, as anyone who has ever worked with it will attest. Once smoothed and finished it no long slivers, but the open grain produces an ever-so-slight texture to the grips which feels very nice to the fingertips.
