Birdseye Maple with Walnut grip

Difficult growing conditions are what make the tiny bird's-eye-like knots in Hard Maple. The grips are Olivewood, harvested in Bethlehem, Israel from olive trees which are no longer able produce fruit. Olivewood has a wonderful, striped grain which often swirls and curls, especially in older wood.
