Brazilian Tulipwood is a stunningly beautiful genus of Rosewood used for veneer, inlay and marquetry, fine furniture and percussion instruments. While it is not considered threatened, it is in short supply due to its narrow geographic region and the fact that, unlike other Rosewoods, it grows as a small shrub. Its short, narrow boards are most often reserved for small specialty items and accents in larger pieces.
